The agency Armarter Travel and Tourism Lda., was founded on May 8, 1959 in order to be a travel agency and tourism, and retail trade tax stamps. It started its activity in the Square Guilherme Gomes Fernandes, 74 in Porto. In the early days of its existence the company has a market benchmark of airline tickets, passports and visas, resulting from large emigration flow of time.
The growing demand and marketing services such as the sale of national and international train tickets, bus and airline tickets, hotel reservations, visas, passports and other tourist services has meant that in 1987, Armarter initiated its activity as operator tourist.
In 1994 acquires the know first bus long haul. Specializes in Bus circuits and expand up the trips to destinations such as Benidorm, Salou and La Manga, always contemplating the regional circuits nationwide.
Continuing its expansion phase in 1995 Armarter acquires a share in the agency Transoceanic Tur Travel and Tourism Ltd., founded in 1968, with facilities in the Republic of Avenue in Vila Nova de Gaia, and in 1997 acquired the travel agency Costa Ferreira and Martins with address at Rua do Bonjardim Porto.
In 2001, begins the Internet project Armarter with the release of its first platform BUS reservations and online travel.
The December 31, 2008 takes place the fusion between agências.Em 2009 and in full celebration of the 50th anniversary of its founding. Armarter starts a merger with travel agencies and travel transoceanic TUR COSTA FERREIRA & MARTINS LDA
Following the progress at the level of individual reservations, groups, aviation and excursions, offering a quality product and based on the experience gained over these 50 years, the group is now investing in the development of a platform for online reservations.
In 2010, with a new Internet application that connects multiple operators destinations, Armarter intends to invest in diversifying their products in terms of travel and offer their customers a super competitive price.
